Moto G7 Lineup Now Rumoured to Come With 4 New Models Next Year

2018 year hasn't been all that good for Motorola, which is why the company has seemingly started working on its next year's lineup already, with the aim to return back to the competition. Rumours say that the smartphone manufacturer is already working on the G7 series for next year. Rumours also say that Motorola is going to launch only two phones under the G7 lineup -- Moto G7 and the G7 Plus -- and skip the Play version. The information, however, is not yet confirmed by the company.
Moto G7 lineup is now rumoured to include four distinct models, including the Moto G7 Play, Moto G7 Plus, and Moto G7 Power - alongside the standard Moto G7. The latest rumour surfaces after the alleged specification sheet of the Moto G7 leaked online. The smartphone is expected to come with a 6.4-inch display and include an octa-core SoC. It is also rumoured to carry a dual rear camera setup along with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary. The Moto G7 is reported to run Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box.

Moto G7 may pack 6.7-inch display, dual rear cameras

Famous tipster Evan Blass, who leaks unannounced developments through his @evleaks Twitter handle, has revealed that Lenovo-owned Motorola is set to launch four models under the Moto G7 lineup next year. It is said that there will be Moto G7 Play, Moto G7 Plus, and Moto G7 Power as well as the standard Moto G7. Notably, if we believe what Blass has tweeted, there will be more models in the Moto G7 lineup over this year's Moto G6 that was launched earlier this year in the standard Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, and Moto G6 Plus models. The addition of the Power model in the new lineup is likely to bring a massive battery option in the lineup.

When Lenovo acquired Motorola in 2014, it shook the Moto G line up a little. Gone was the single phone, instead multiple models were launched, and of these the ‘G Plus’ model was the most important addition.

With specs that were distinctly not budget, but a price tag that certainly was, this moved the G line up into the bourgeoisie of the smartphone world. In 2018, the Moto G6 Plus was no exception to the rule, balancing a refined design, enough power and a quality experience to superb results.

The Moto G6 lineup is still fresh on the shelves from earlier this year, but that doesn't mean that Motorola isn't working on a follow-up. So Waqar Khan took the time to create 3D renders of what the device might look like based on the existing leaks. Some time ago, live pictures of the Motorola One and an unknown device appeared. Now the original source on Weibo was found and the mysterious device turned out to be a Moto G7 prototype. Khan's renders give us a more detailed look at how the device might be designed. We've got relatively thick bezels on the sides and the top with a big chin while the waterdrop-styled notch doesn't seem to be taking too much space.
